Self- Advocacy Graphics
The Deaf Victoria team are aware that there is a lot of concern in our community at the moment about wearing masks and communication.
Deaf Victoria have developed these graphics to assist you in advocating for you communication needs when masks need to be worn. Please contact us if you would like other phrases.
Download these to your phone so they are available for you to show to staff, colleagues or others when you need.

Remember that for COVID-19 related appointments, you can contact Expression Australia’s Auslan Connections to use their VRI (Video Remote Interpreting) service. They can work with the hospital or service to arrange this but if there is no service (or NDIS package) that can be charged, then the interpreter appointment can be FREE.
