Well done to Auslan interpreters who fought for better pay and conditions.
Visited St Albans East Primary School yesterday! Thank you so much to Catherine Miller, a Deaf teacher of the deaf for the tour!
The school has an amazing program for 9 children in a school with new buildings.

We pulled together 112 witness statements! When Hoyts lawyers received them, they were furious and said that it will cost them too much to go through every statement. So they applied to VCAT to eliminate YOUR stories.
We are still waiting to find out when VCAT will ...have a directions hearing so that we can argue why we should keep all statements.
As usual, I will update you when we have any news.

Gayle Tierney MPTim Bull MP Please take note of the community outrage about the cuts to one of the very few services specifically for deaf and hard of hearing Victorians. Please reverse the cut.
I’ve just booked an online ticket! Cant wait!
Calling on our community: please help us save deaf access to TAFE now!
The Victorian Government has cut funding for deafConnectEd, one of the few programs supporting deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing students to access and succeed in TAFEs in Victoria. Since 1993, deafConnectEd has been ...the bridge between deaf learners, educators and inclusion. Without it, deaf access to TAFE will not exist.
We’re calling on Minister Gayle Tierney and the Allan Labor Government to reinstate funding and protect equal education opportunities for future generations.
🗓️ Deadline: November 30, 2025
🖊️ Take action NOW: Sign our petition to save deafConnectEd and safeguard deaf access to education in Victoria.
